Art & Nature: SOLD OUT for 2025
Weeks of June 9th, 16th and 23rd
Let the natural world inspire you! For Art and Nature we will be drawing, painting, sculpting and more.
Camp sessions are held from 9 to 3 Monday – Friday in Lucy's backyard studio in El Cerrito. Each week will end with a short art show just before pick up on Friday.
Camps are for kids ages 6-13* and cost $540. There will be a limit of 8 or 9 campers per session. *Younger kids must have completed 1st grade.

Summer 2025's theme, Art & Nature, will give young artists the opportunity to explore a wide range of media creating art about nature and art using natural materials.
Some examples of projects include:
Detailed drawings of an ecosystem of choice — including multiple varieties of flora and fauna
Paintings using inks that we make ourselves from beets, turmeric, cabbage, tea and more
Animal sculptures made from egg cartons, and another with air dry clay
Watercolor landscapes—- we’ll review several watercolor techniques as we do a step by step landscape using just one color, payne’s gray, and then do our own style in full color
Botanical prints using gel plates (Lucy’s FAVORITE thing to do!)
We'll also end the week with an acrylic painting on canvas with a subject of the artist's choice.
Art Camp costs $540 for the week. Please pay the $250 deposit when your registration is confirmed. Balance will be due May 1st. If you are interested in registering, please fill out the registration form below (available soon!), where you can also find more information about camp.
